TOUR DESCRIPTION
Half Day Activities
One of the highest cities in the world, is the home of a variety of intense experiences and sights, that welcomes you to enjoy its magical uniqueness. Start by visiting the sorcery marketplace, where rituals from shamans and Andean sorcerers take place every minute of the day, showing offers to their traditional gods, as Yatiris, wise healers of old, offer a view into people’s future through the use of coca leaves, for the curious, you can feel free to hear what they have to say about your life. Even though it’s tempting to spend all they with some of them, we have to now make our way to the now world renowned cholets, a combination of chola and chalet, and an architecture style called neo-Andean by the experts that bring all kinds of flamboyant shapes, colors and sizes to buildings.
Every Thursday and Sunday, one of the biggest informal marketplaces of the world takes shape out of previously regular streets, a collection of new, used and antique items that people spend entire days scavenging, another option comes at Thursdays and Sundays, when it’s game time for the local wrestling, flying cholitas, a lucha libre-type of match where the local traditional Andean ladies compete in an outlandish match. After all this experiences you’ll get a different perspective of this place.
