Visa requirements for each visitor depend on the nationality of the passport you are traveling with. Some visas do not require payment, others can be obtained by arriving at the Bolivian border or in advance at any Bolivian consulate.

It is the visitor’s responsibility to have their documents in advance to avoid problems entering our country.

DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR ALL NATIONALITIES:

    A valid passport, with a minimum validity of 6 months at the time of entering Bolivia.

    Valid, if you will be visiting high risk endemic areas.

TOURISM VISA ACCORDING TO COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE

According to Bolivian regulations, all countries are classified into 3 groups with different requirements. To obtain the Bolivian Visa it is necessary to determine the group to which your country of residence belongs. Check which group your country belongs to HERE→:

GROUP I:

The countries included in this list DO NOT require a Tourist Visa to enter Bolivia.

GROUP II:

The countries included in this list DO require a Tourist Visa, WITHOUT PRIOR CONSULTATION you can acquire this visa AT NO COST in advance at a Bolivian Embassy or Consulate (in any country prior to your arrival) or directly at immigration at the airport with an additional cost.

GROUP III:

The countries included in this list DO require a Tourist Visa, WITH PRIOR CONSULTATION. You must in advance request a Visa extension at a Bolivian Embassy or Consulate closest to your home or habitual place of residence.
